This is truly as good as it gets. My girlfriend drove my car into our garage and my Subaru needed some bodywork done. Not wanting to go through insurance, I was able to work with them to keep my costs down. The day of the work, they picked up my car from my work, had the fender, bumper, and light done in 2 hours, then came and picked me up at the end of my shift!! No other place has ever done that for me. The best part was that they did good work for a REALLY good price.  The nicest guy and very knowledgeable.

These guys are great! I burned my brakes up pulling a trailer that was too heavy for my truck. They replaced my brakes at a fair price, plus Todd, the owner, took me on a mountain test drive with the trailer to teach me how to use the engine to slow the vehicle.  Everybody in the shop was awesome.  I highly recommend them.

I was worried about my brakes coming out of the mountains, so I took my van to JH Auto Repair.  Even though they were closed for the holiday weekend, they still took me in and fixed my vehicle. Not only did they repair my van, but they also explained to me why it happened and taught me how to drive in the mountains, downshifting with an automatic transmission, so that I wouldn't have the same issues going home.  And he was right!!  I used the van's engine to slow us down instead of the brakes.  I only touched my brakes once, and that was when somebody cut me off. I've passed the knowledge that they gave me along to my husband, both our moms and anybody else willing to listen!!

My transmission failed on Vail Pass.  The shop owner came and towed us back to the shop.  The shop itself is clean and hospitable--the waiting room is comfortable and clean.  The staff was quick to assess the trouble and straightforward.  They let me see the issues myself and did a great job explaining the costs to me.  Beyond that, they actually helped me get a rental car from a nearby location so that my wife and I could continue our anniversary weekend.  Without their help, I think we may have just called the weekend off.

After local recommendations, I brought my vehicle into them due to the engine shutting down.  They said it may be a couple of days, I let them know I'm in no hurry.  They ended up diagnosing the problem (camshaft position sensor) and fixing it by 1 pm. Went to pick it up to find the part was defective and had to be replaced and reinstalled. By no request from me, they got it done the very same day.  My experience with them was very good!!!

I can't say enough good things about these guys. We came down the hill on a Saturday with rotors in terrible shape. The team had us in and out within about an hour and a half and may I reiterate this was with no appointment on the weekend. What a blessing JH turned out to be. I can't say this about many mechanics and with these guys' collective knowledge as well as personalities even my Mom was impressed. No one impresses her. JH did! I'll make a point of coming back to Silverthorne for all of my auto needs.

My radiator was leaking fluid on my way up to a very windy ski day in Breck. After trying to fix it, I decided to have my car towed and sent to JH Mtn Auto from Frisco.  They diagnosed that the connection hoses were loose and I had a hole in the radiator.  I was given a fair price for parts and labor, especially for a mountain town! Highly recommend it (even if you’re needing car help on the weekend!)!
